Alternative Power 100 Music List 2021 celebrates:
The New Creative Economy
Let’s celebrate those at the forefront of this new era for the music industry, which has been ushered in by independent creators and entrepreneurs breaking down the barriers that have limited their success in the past.
From architecting new ways of owning work to community-supported funding, the music industry, both small and big, is building a new creative economy where the independent community can fully thrive.
We are excited to partner with Patreon to honor those whose alternative paths lead to a better world for everyone.
This year, the Alternative Power 100 Music List 2021 is celebrating The New Creative Economy and the new era that is ushering in the music industry.
The partnership follows a year where the pandemic forced a reckoning of what it means to operate in a system that isn’t working for the music industry's independent creators, thinkers & entrepreneurs, and surfaced the unsustainable ways that value is assigned to creative work.
To help bring this vision to life, we are also introducing special awards and 10 brand new categories covering industry areas such as Artists, Community, Record Labels and more.
Through our partnership, Patreon and shesaid.so will work closely together to program a series of community deep dives exploring the new creative economy and its successful music stories.
