Riina Ries is the marketing manager at Monster Music, a company that has brought to Estonia several music festivals, the concerts of Ed Sheeran, Kraftwerk, Andrea Bocelli and many more.

Her career in the music industry started in 2007, when she landed a job as promoter’s rep / executive assistant in the first program-driven club in Estonia, Club Privé. During her 6 years in Club Privé she had an opportunity to meet hundreds of DJs from all over the world. She treated every encounter as an opportunity to listen and learn about the history and background of electronic music. After leaving Privé, she worked for Club Studio as program coordinator, and also ran her own monthly event called Utopia for 5 years. Since she first volunteered for the Black Nights Film Festival back in 2004, the film festival has been an inseparable part of her winters. She now works for its children and youth sub-festival Just Film guest department. Working with and for people has always kept her curious. Throughout her adult life she has combined her work with academic studies, doing currently her MA in Communication.
